We do not need to be scientists to know that when we treat our bodies poorly, we can start to feel terrible. Inactivity in youth today is a very serious problem. Obesity and health issues relating to an inactive lifestyle are on the rise and steadily increasing. Statistics Canada states that in 2011 20.4% of youth between the ages of 12-17 were considered overweight or obese and the numbers are increasing each year.
